The 2025/26 Leone Rock Premier League season has officially come to a close, bringing with it title celebrations, individual brilliance, and the heartbreak of relegation.
At the centre of the story are Bo Rangers FC, who once again cemented their dominance in Sierra Leonean football. The Elephants finished top of the table with 64 points from 34 matches, recording 17 wins, 13 draws, and only four defeats.
Their success was built on consistency, discipline, and resilience. While Bo Rangers were not the league’s highest-scoring side, they remained one of the most difficult teams to break down, scoring 39 goals and conceding just 20 throughout the campaign.
Star Sport Academy Fall Just Short
If any side came close to ending Bo Rangers’ reign, it was Star Sport Academy.
They finished second on 61 points, only three behind the champions, after an impressive season that produced 45 goals and the league’s best goal difference of +23. Their title challenge remained alive until the closing stages of the season, but a few costly dropped points ultimately denied them the crown.
Bai Bureh Warriors Continue Their Rise
Bai Bureh Warriors FC also enjoyed a strong campaign, securing third place with 57 points.
The Warriors combined defensive solidity with attacking efficiency, scoring 40 goals while conceding only 20, matching Bo Rangers for the league’s best defensive record. Their performances throughout the season further established them as one of the country’s emerging football forces.
East End Lions Lead the Goals Race
Although they finished fourth in the standings, East End Lions FC ended the season as the league’s most prolific attacking side.
The Killers scored an impressive 52 goals, more than any other club in the division. Their attacking style thrilled supporters throughout the campaign, even though defensive lapses prevented them from mounting a sustained title challenge.
Sulaiman Kargbo Wins the Golden Boot
East End Lions’ attacking strength was reflected in the performances of Sulaiman S. Kargbo, who finished as the league’s top scorer with 18 goals, securing the 2025/26 Leone Rock Premier League Golden Boot.

Sanpha M. Kakara (Bai Bureh Warriors) – 14 goals

Hindovei Tucker (Freetown City FC) – 10 goals
Kargbo’s goals proved instrumental in helping East End Lions secure a top-four finish and underlined his status as one of the league’s most dangerous forwards.
Four Clubs Suffer Relegation
While some clubs celebrated success, four others endured the disappointment of relegation.
The teams dropping out of the Leone Rock Premier League are:
Abacha City FC – 39 points
SLIFA FC – 38 points
Luawa FC – 33 points
Freetown City FC – 29 points
For SLIFA FC, relegation will be particularly painful given the impressive individual performances of Ibrahim Sesay, who finished among the league’s leading scorers. However, football remains a team game, and individual brilliance alone was not enough to secure survival.
Freetown City FC also struggled throughout the season, finishing bottom of the table despite striker Hindovei Tucker reaching double figures in goals.
