Sierra Leone’s Attorney-General and Minister of Justice has revealed that he recently met with the Minister of Justice of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Accra, Ghana, to continue discussions on security cooperation and efforts to combat transnational organised crime.
According to the Attorney-General, the meeting focused on strengthening judicial collaboration between the two countries, particularly in addressing illicit financial flows, cross-border criminal networks, and other forms of transnational crime that continue to pose challenges to national and international security.
He noted that both countries recognise the growing threat of organised criminal activities and the need for stronger partnerships to improve law enforcement cooperation, information sharing, and legal frameworks aimed at tackling such crimes.
The discussions also highlighted the importance of maintaining momentum in ongoing security and justice sector cooperation, with both sides reaffirming their commitment to working together to protect their borders and citizens from criminal threats.
The Attorney-General stressed that Sierra Leone remains committed to fulfilling its responsibilities within the partnership and contributing to broader international efforts to combat organised crime and illicit financial activities.
The engagement reflects Sierra Leone’s continued efforts to strengthen international cooperation on justice and security matters as governments across the world seek coordinated responses to increasingly sophisticated transnational criminal networks.
