Fresh from securing a historic Leone Rock Premier League title, Bo Rangers Football Club has announced that it will not participate in CAF inter-club competitions this year.
In an official statement released by the club’s management, Bo Rangers expressed gratitude to the people of Bo, supporters, players, coaching staff, sponsors, the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), the Premier League Board (PLB), media practitioners, and all stakeholders who contributed to what the club described as another milestone in its history.
The reigning champions said winning the 2025/2026 Leone Rock Premier League title was a reflection of the collective effort, commitment, resilience, and support demonstrated throughout the season. Management noted that the achievement belongs not only to the club but also to the wider Bo community and everyone who has supported its journey over the years.
However, despite earning the right to represent Sierra Leone on the continental stage, the club revealed that it has decided not to take part in CAF competitions this season.
According to the statement, the decision forms part of a broader restructuring process aimed at strengthening the club’s foundation, improving operational systems, and enhancing overall competitiveness ahead of next season.
Bo Rangers explained that its immediate priority is to improve the squad, strengthen technical and organisational structures, and build a more competitive team capable of consistently performing at the highest level both domestically and internationally.
The club further stated that it remains committed to creating a sustainable structure that will serve the long-term interests of Bo Rangers, the city of Bo, and Sierra Leone football as a whole.
Management acknowledged that the announcement may disappoint many supporters who had hoped to see the club compete in Africa’s premier club competitions. Nevertheless, it stressed that the move was taken in the best interest of the club’s growth, stability, and future ambitions.
Bo Rangers reassured fans that the decision does not signal a lack of ambition. Instead, the club believes the restructuring process will lay the groundwork for a stronger and better-prepared team capable of making a meaningful impact in future CAF competitions.
The statement concluded with a message of appreciation to supporters, thanking them for their patience, loyalty, and belief in the club’s vision as it works toward building an even stronger Bo Rangers side for the years ahead.
